The Work From Home Voice Actor
The Work From Home Voice Actor Podcast is for aspiring and beginner Voice Actors who are ready to dive into the everyday, nitty-gritty work, insights, and tools that go into running a successful voice acting business right from the comfort of home. I’m Melanie Scroggins fellow Voice Actor and your motivational guide through the world of VO. This podcast was created out of a place of genuine curiosity and a hell of a lot of tenacity - because that’s truly what it takes to be a successful Voice Actor, especially when you want to work from home. I’m here to share a fresh, modern-day approach to building a voiceover service business based on what I’ve learned and experienced in my own business outside of the status quo. This podcast is for all of the solopreneurs, freelancers, and virtual assistants out there looking to create a business offering voiceover services or for those looking to add voiceover services to their freelance skillset. My goal here is to provide you with honest and insightful information to help you better understand the landscape for freelance Voice Actors who work from home as well as to help you learn something you can implement in your business immediately after listening to each episode. We’ll talk about everything from getting started to best practices for marketing yourself and your business, plus we'll discuss all of the fears and obstacles typically faced by up-and-coming Voice Actors and how to work on overcoming them. Voiceover is a vast and ever-changing industry that provides ongoing opportunities for both beginners and professionals, especially in this modern age of advanced technology, communication, and access. So, whether you’re looking to become a Voice Actor, already working in the industry, or just want to know more about the voiceover landscape and where it’s headed, this podcast is for you.
